James is wholly overwhelmed. The noises around him are getting too much, the people talking over each other are too much, he can barely recognise words anymore. Everything is too warm and too loud and he feels like he’s suffocating. He stares blankly at Evan and Barty who are now both shouting at him, Evan, his wand pointed at James, and Barty, looking like he might only not be doing the same because he doesn’t have his, while Peter is trying to hold them back, also talking agitatedly. James has no idea what they’re saying. He just stares. And stares. And stares. Then he turns around and just walks away.
